Free Pattern, Helps for New Quilters + Bountiful Blooms Fabrics

Hello there Reader,

Thanks so much for reading my weekly newsletter. Today I have a free pattern to share, tips for setting quilts together, and two special podcasts on organizing for quilters to share. And, perhaps most exciting is that our Bountiful Blooms fabric collection is now shipping to your favorite quilt shop!

First of all, I have a free pattern to share this week. Make the Mini Charm Pillow or Table Mat pictured above with or without the optional Grandmother's Flower Garden block center. This is a super fast and fun project, and I have a video tutorial to walk you through the process.

I'm also really excited that our Bountiful Blooms collection is now shipping to shops. (My fabrics are actually arriving today). To celebrate, I've been sewing up a few small projects with the collection--and I have more in mind including one that will be a free pattern in September.

Earlier this week I pieced together a Bucket List mini to use as a table topper in my family room and absolutely love how it turned out. (The pattern also includes instructions for a lap-size quilt and is available in paper and PDF).

And now something fun for those of you who love organizing. I was a guest earlier this week on the Best Laid Plans podcast and spoke with Sarah about using planning to get more done in the sewing room. You can listen to the episode here. And... Sarah is also going to be a guest on our A Quilting Life Podcast tomorrow with tips especially for quilters.

Below you'll find links to the posts from earlier this week on the blog. (Be sure to visit the Tips for Setting Quilts Together post if you are a new to confident beginner quilter--there are lots of helpful tips included on the post).

And finally, I want to let everyone know I've re-stocked my A Quilting Life Planner & Workbook in the shop. (I won't be doing a revised edition until later next year). And since this one is undated, it's perfect for 2024--or start using it anytime! There is a lot of content included in the planner including space to record all things works in progress, quilts, fabric and notions and more.

I hope you get some wonderful time for sewing and quilting soon.
