Spring Things from A Quilting Life

Hello Reader,

First, thank you so much for reading and subscribing to my weekly newsletter. I hope you'll find each one informative and interesting with inspiration for your own Quilting Life!

The Countdown Begins: 10 More Days

We are super excited to be sharing a brand-new collection with you in just ten days. All of my quilts are made and bound, and Chelsi is past the half-way mark with hers. We're getting closer to the finish line! Our official share date is May first, so stay tuned for the first pictures then. The next week we will be sharing this collection with the Quilting World at the H&H Americas show.

Earlier This Week

We had some great new content this week on both the blog and our YouTube channel. We shared a new podcast episode and details for our upcoming Poinsettia Stars BOM Sew Along (it begins in June). I also shared my latest Sewcialites 3 block, the most recent Saturday Seven Lifestyle post, and started a Substack subscription. Find all of the details below:

Coming This Week

Tomorrow I am happy to be sharing a new project. You'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out what it is, but I can tell you it's something for the sewing room and it's very cute!

May Schedule Notes

I also want to let everyone know that our schedule will look just a little bit different during the first part of May. Because of our fabric collection release and the H&H Americas show we've made a few adjustments to our schedule as noted below:

  • *We will share our new collection on Friday, May 1st. See a video on our YouTube channel that day along with a blog post.
  • *On Monday, May 4th we will be sharing a special podcast episode with a New York Times bestselling author. I'm super excited about this interview!
  • *On Thursday, May 7th we will share the May 2026 Block of the Month.
  • *And on Monday, May 11th, we will share a podcast episode about the new fabric collection.

Hello Reader, It's been a beautiful last week of May here--we've had temperatures in the 80's which is almost a little miraculous for the end of May (we are used to sometimes being in the 110's by now). So, I'm enjoying every cool morning and evening until the heat arrives soon. In the studio I've been working on new things for fall and doing some cleaning and organizing. I'm ready to start sewing some fun small project very soon! Poinsettia & Pear Precuts Have Arrived Poinsettia & Pear...

Hello Reader, Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going well and that lots of sewing is in your plans. I first want to say how thankful I am for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country as well celebrate them and express our gratitude this Memorial Day Weekend in the US. Hello Reader, I hope you've had a wonderful week and that you are able to get some sewing and quilting done this weekend! It took me most of the week to get back in my normal rhythms after attending the H + H Americas convention in Chicago (I'm linking my recap of this event below). But I've been steadily getting things put away and cleaned up and am ready for a productive week ahead.
