Some Finishes + Pillow Pattern PDF

Hello!

First, thanks so much for reading each week! I hope your weekend is going well and that you've been able to get some sewing and quilting done. I've been getting a lot done in the sewing room because it has been 110+ for the past several days :( Hoping for some kind of cool-down soon!

Today I'm sharing the weekly newsletter with some recent finishes, the posts for the week, and a few new things in the shop.

Midsummer Patchwork Bow

Last week I shared a picture of a Mini Patchwork Bow in our Birch & Willow Fabrics. This week I got busy and made my own full-size bow using Midsummer. It's absolutely perfect, and I couldn't love it more! I'm planning to make a Christmas version this week so I have it ready to go.

Sunshine Sisters Bags

I also started and finished these darling Sunshine Sisters Bags since I got home from the Modavation event last weekend. Pictured above are the medium and small. The small is just the right size for a travel sewing project bag (for small handwork projects). The medium would also make a great travel option for bigger sewing projects or even makeup and toiletries.

Blooming Pillow

One more project to share this week! My Blooming Pillow pattern (PDF only) is now available in the shop in PDF format. This pattern was previously only available in my Home & Hearth book (now out of print).

Earlier This Week

Below you'll find the links to the blog posts from earlier this week. We also had a podcast and a bag/bow video on the YouTube Channel:

Coming This Week

Stay tuned tomorrow for a behind-the-scenes look at my trip to the Moda/United Notions headquarters in Dallas, Texas. I'll also have some quilts to share and another Sewcialites block.

Also, be sure to check the shop for new 5-yard backings and the remaining Poinsettia & Pear precuts available there.

Hello! I hope your first week of June is going well. I've just returned home from a week-long retreat in Dallas, Texas at the Modavation event for shop owners. It was truly inspiring to be around all of my Moda friends, and shop owners I've known for years or just for a week! I will definitely be sharing all about the event in a post next week. For now, keep reading for the June notes plus one of my favorite finds from the retreat. Booth Photo from H + H Americas Trade show in early May 2026...

Hello Reader, It's been a beautiful last week of May here--we've had temperatures in the 80's which is almost a little miraculous for the end of May (we are used to sometimes being in the 110's by now). So, I'm enjoying every cool morning and evening until the heat arrives soon. In the studio I've been working on new things for fall and doing some cleaning and organizing. I'm ready to start sewing some fun small project very soon! Poinsettia & Pear Precuts Have Arrived Poinsettia & Pear...

Hello Reader, Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going well and that lots of sewing is in your plans. I first want to say how thankful I am for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country as well celebrate them and express our gratitude this Memorial Day Weekend in the US. Although there is still another full week of May, it's definitely the unofficial start to summer where I live. School is out, daytime temperatures are in the high 90's, and the summer vibe is real. (I'm just...
