Hello Reader,

There is just one more week of August, and then I'm going to start decorating for fall--I can't wait. It's been 110+ most days here this week, so I'm hoping the fall decor will help me get through our end-of-summer heat. And since Birch & Willow is now shipping to shops, it's a great time to share projects old and new with this perfect-for-sewing-now group! Keep reading for some new things and a look at recent and upcoming posts.

Our Town in Poinsettia & Pear

First, I want to share an image of my new Midsummer quilt, Our Town, mocked up in Poinsettia & Pear. My friend and quilter Marion asked me to send her this image so she could sew Our Town with fabrics available now! When she is finished, I'll get a picture of her quilt--but I wanted to share with all of you since we mentioned it on the podcast recently.

Jolly Tree Farm Quilt Kits

And while I'm sharing a little Poinsettia & Pear, I want to also let you know that Fat Quarter Shop still has some of these wonderful kits for the Jolly Tree Farm quilt--it's a fast and fun project you can make now for the holidays!

Pumpkin Cottage

Earlier this week I decided to make a pillow to use with my Birch & Willow decor...that little project then inspired me to do a pattern and also include a runner and wall hanging option! PDF's are available to download now. You can also order a paper pattern, and it will ship in about a week!

Tomorrow we will share a new podcast--we will have another special guest on the show, and the intro is one we taped after my return home from England. Then the following Monday we will be back with a listener questions episode. I'll also be sharing a video about the Pumpkin Cottage pillow including the Cuddle fabric pillow backing that you can't see from this photo.
