New Christmas Table Runner + Holiday Sewing

Hello Reader,

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. We are in full-Thanksgiving week prep mode here. My shopping for our family dinner next week is pretty much finished, and I have a plan for making several dishes ahead in order to make the actual day a bit calmer. I've also almost finished up Christmas decor sewing and have moved on to making personal gift items for family and friends. It's definitely the busy season! I hope you'll enjoy today's inspiration and ideas.

New Christmas Runner

I recently finished up a new Christmas table runner using scraps from our Favorite Things fabrics. I love it so much! The pattern was originally published in my Home & Hearth book and is now available in PDF format only. It's a perfect project for gift-giving, and you could easily make it smaller by making just three blocks (as shown it finishes at 14 1/2" x 54 1/2").

A Work in Progress

I've also been working on a bucket-list quilt that I've had on my list for several years. I wrote a blog post earlier this week with all of the details linked in my post list below. Since I posted I've actually been able to put all of the log cabins together and am ready to begin adding the applique' snowman! It's going to be so wonderful to get this checked off my list and over to my quilter! I might even have it for this year, lol!

Such a busy week...below are links to all of the posts and videos. There are lots of fun ideas on this week's Saturday Seven post that will help with this busy season:

A Favorite Notion

I've also been absolutely loving this aerosol version of the Magic Quilting and Craft spray I've been using while quilting for the past few months. I had previously used another version and like it as well, but I just feel like the coverage is so much better in this type of spray can.

A Quilting Life Academy Early-Bird Pricing

And, as I mentioned last week, enrollment is now open for my A Quilting Life Academy course beginning January 12th, 2025. This six-week comprehensive beginner/intermediate quilting course features on-line videos you can watch at your own pace and refer to again and again. I've had over 150 students take the course already and have loved seeing so many students learn whether they were complete beginners or had a bit of quilting experience. The price will go up in mid-December, so now is a great time to sign up if this is something you are thinking about.

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead and that if you are celebrating Thanksgiving that your gathering is lovely. And thank you so much for taking the time to read my newsletter and for all of your kindness and support.

Have a great day!
Sherri

Hello there Reader, I hope you are having a good weekend and that you have been able to get some sewing in! I first want to mention Veteran's Day tomorrow here in the United States. I'm so grateful for the veterans in my family (my Dad served in the navy in World War 2) and for all veterans past and present and their service--thank you! I've been in the sewing room a bit this week working on some last-minute fall projects and trying to finish up my 2024 Block of the Month quilts. I'm also...
