Hello Reader,

I hope your weekend is a good one! I've been catching up on lots of things and making plans for my fall sewing and activities. I've recently finished up a couple of works in progress and will have a new post and video on that for you tomorrow. But first, here is what has been going on this week + a beginner quilt project roundup you won't want to miss!

Star Bright Mini

This week I was able to get the Star Bright Mini quilt finished that my friend Nancy made with scraps from her Star Bright 2 sewing. My quilter Val did some fun custom designs on it, and I got it bound just the other night. The original pattern doesn't have sashing, so I had Nancy add 1 1/4" cut strips to separate the blocks a little. She did everything else according to the pattern. I think this is my new favorite mini! (This mini measures 18 3/4" x 18 3/4" making it perfect for a pillow, too).

Summer Star Medley in Raspberry Summer

When I released my Summer Star Medley pattern last year I only made the mini quilt version (there is also a table runner, wall hanging, and lap quilt included in the pattern). So, I decided I needed the wall hanging version in our Raspberry Summer fabrics and love how it turned out. (This wall hanging finishes at 32 1/2" x 32 1/2"

Weekender Table Runner in Raspberry Summer

This week was definitely the week for me to finish up some smaller projects. I also got the binding added and a styled photo taken of my Weekender Table Runner using just a few prints from Raspberry Summer. It's a perfect late summer look for our dining table!
